SALES TERMS & CONDITIONS

Our herd has tested negative for CAE/Cl/Johnes, with CAE testing done yearly. CAE results available, just ask! No other diseases or viruses have been presented within our herd. We encourage goat buyers and breeders to test, cull and keep a clean herd at all times to prevent the spread of contagious and degenerative diseases.

If you are interested in a kid from us, please contact us first before filling out a reservation request form. At this time we require a $100 deposit to put a reservation down. This reservation is non refundable if you kid of choice is born and you choose to not follow through with the purchase. If the kid is not born the deposit can either be refunded, transferred to another kid or rolled over to the following year. If you do not wish to put this deposit down, there is also a free waitlist so there is no hard commitment to purchasing a kid until the kid is born. However, paid deposits will take precedence over the free waitlist. At the time the kid you desire is born and available, we will contact you within three days. A payment of 50% of the purchase price must be made within two week of notification that your kid is born. If we do not hear back from you within 24 hours of notification, then we will move onto the next person on our list and your deposit will be forfeited. Your deposit will only be refunded if we cannot fill your reservation due to our own retaining or in cases of injury, illness, defect or death of the kid while on our premises. If the kid you wanted was not born, we will offer you the option of another pairing or rolling over your reservation to the following year. We will NOT refund because you have changed your mind, please keep this in mind when placing a deposit!  All kids will be bottle or lamb bar raised unless other arrangements have been made prior to the birth. We will not sell more than two bottle kids to one household unless the buyer is an experienced bottle feeder. Bottle feeding can be difficult if it is new to you so we just want to make sure our customers are as well equipped as possible. This is why we also make sure to give our new-to-goat customers a "how to" session on proper bottle feeding. All customers will receive a packet of information about the care their goat will require as well as supplies that should be kept on hand. Please read this information!

Bottle kids will be allowed to leave the premises at approximately 2 to 3 weeks of age depending on how well they are doing with their bottle feedings as well as the experience level of the purchaser. Other arrangements can be made on a case by case basis. Any kid must be paid in full at the time of pickup. If animal is not picked from you by the arranged date of pickup or by with weeks of age, we will move onto the next person on the list and all moneys paid will be forfeited. When purchasing a mature animal a non-refundable deposit of $100 will hold your purchase for 1 week or an agreed upon time until they can be picked up.

No goats will be sold to homes that do not already have goats unless more than one goat is purchased. Goats require goat companionship and so this is something that is non-negotiable. We are always happy to set you up with a wether companion (at a small cost) for your new kid if you do not have goats yet.

Wethers will not be banded before 12 weeks of age, at this time you are welcome to bring your kid back to us for banding or you can have a person of your choice perform the banding or castration.

All doe and buck kids will be registered with ADGA (American Dairy Goat Association) at our cost unless purchasing a wether. All bucks and does will be tattooed, microchipped and disbudded. All bucks will be DNA tested before leaving the farm. All goats will be disbudded before leaving the farm.

Shipping and transportation is at the buyers expense. Please consider your transportation needs before making a deposit or purchasing an animal. We can assist you in finding transportation for your kid if needed but you as the buyer are responsible for any transportation costs/vet checks/certificates, etc that are required. When an animal needs a CVI (certificate of veterinary inspection), we do not charge any additional fees, we only ask that you cover the cost of the CVI. At this time, we do not fly kids out but if you are interested in going through this process with us, we are happy to help - the costs associated with flying (crate/supplies/flight/etc) are the responsibility of the buyer

If an animal is found to have a congenital or genetic defect that would disqualify them from the show ring (with exception to height - see below), or prevent that animal from breeding, with medical evidence of such a defect, from a licensed veterinarian and/or accredited veterinary medical teaching hospital, a replacement animal will be offered. We do not cover loss of travel expenses due to transportation costs. Replacements will be from the current or next available breeding season based upon availability. We do our best to breed for animals that fall below the maximum height allowance as set forth by ADGA however we cannot guarantee the height of mature bucks or does hight, reproduction, show quality, milk production, ect. of the purchased goat in the future.

We fully ensure that our animals are healthy when they leave the farm, however, since shipping and transportation can be stressful we cannot provide a guarantee beyond their departure. We are not liable for the goat(s) once they leave our farm as many factors apply to the health and well being of said goat(s). We will not send unhealthy animals, to our knowledge, off of the farm for purchase without prior knowledge or an agreement acknowledging such. When the animal is picked up, whether by you or your choice in transport, remaining payment (including payment for CVI if applicable) must be paid in full. Please contact us if you need help arranging your payments. We do not share any of your personal information with anyone.

We reserve the right to refuse any sale at anytime for any reason.

** We reserve the right to FIRST BUYBACK; if you decide to sell any of the goats ever purchased from us, we are to be offered the animal back FIRST. The goat(s) may not be sold to anyone party besides Clauson Party of Five until we formally decline to buy back. We agree to make a decision within 12 hours of notification being received and acknowledged.  The goats(s) will be offered to be sold back to us at the original purchase price per goat. **

All sales are final. By placing a deposit or purchasing a kid from us, you are agreeing to all info listed above.
