About Us

Welcome to our farm! We do a lot to keep the chaos is somewhat organized! We started out with a few chickens and a couple of pet goats and quickly expanded into a diverse farm that continues to grow with each passing season. Our farm is currently home to ducks, a turkey, chickens, a tortoise, some cats, two dogs, one horse, seasonal pigs, and of course, our beloved dairy goats, the ADGA-registered herd Clauson Pty 5.

Our farm journey began in 2018 when I managed to convince my surfer husband that we needed to leave our cozy city condo and move to the country. I wanted to give our kids a childhood like the one I had in Blossom Valley, where I raised all sorts of 4-H projects and rode my horse all over the neighborhood trails. My husband and I moved our family to a farmhouse on one acre, we built a garden, and right away, we bought a  few chickens. By this time, I was fully enamored with the farm-to-table movement that was catching on.

The following year, I convinced him that we needed goats. These fun, personable little Iivestock easily became a new light in our lives. Our first two goats were pet pygmy goats. Then I had a brilliant idea: dairy goats! Since we have three children, the idea of milking our own goats instead of going to the store for milk sounded like BLISS! By the end of 2019, we had a herd of six goats and had attended our first show. It was safe to say that the goat bug had bitten us, and there was no going back!

Our current herd consists of Nigerian Dwarfs, Nubians, and one Nu Mancha. We actively strive to raise high-quality goats that produce great-tasting milk, and that keep steady for a full lactation in addition to having the conformation needed to live a long full life. Though our herd is "young", we’ve been showing our goats throughout California and even ventured to some out-of-state shows in 2024. We test our milk monthly at a DHI (Dairy Herd Improvement) lab and we participate in ADGA milk testing and linear appraisal programs.

As we continue to learn and grow, our farm expands. We now make goat's milk soap, we raise seasonal pastured pork, we breed and sell turkeys, poults and eggs and sell raw goat’s milk frozen for pet consumption! Here on our farm, we try to live as organically as possible and to minimize our impact on the environment by raising as much of our own food as we can, reducing our waste, and treating our land with care. If you have any questions about any of our farm endeavors, -feel free to send us a message!
